Who we are
Roule Event Social is owned and operated by Segment Technologies Canada Corp, 555 Westvale Dr, Waterloo, ON, Canada. Event organisers (our customers) use it to publish share pages for their events.
If you made a card on an event page, the event’s organiser decides how that information is used, and we process it on their behalf. The organiser’s contact email is shown at the bottom of their event page. If you have an organiser account, Segment Technologies Canada Corp is responsible for your account information.
What we collect
- Personal cards: the name, company, job title and photo you choose to add, the role you pick, and your card design.
- A browser token: a random code stored in a cookie so you can update or remove your card later from the same browser.
- Link visits: a count of how many times your personal link was opened. We don’t store who opened it.
- Organiser accounts: email address, name, password (stored securely, never readable) and a log of changes made in the app.
- Spam protection: when you make a card, your browser solves a small puzzle to tell people from automated bots. It runs on our own servers, uses no cookies and involves no third party.
- Hosting logs: our hosting providers keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and secure the service.
How it’s used
- To create your card and your personal link, and show your card as the preview image when the link is shared.
- To send people who click your link to the event’s website, tagged with a reference code so the organiser can see which shares drive interest.
- To let organisers run their events and to keep the service secure.
We don’t sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Your card and personal link are public: anyone with the link can see your name, company, title and photo on the card. The event organiser’s team can see the list of cards made for their event.
Where it’s stored
Data is stored with our service providers Supabase (database and files) and Render (hosting) in the United States. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or Canada, this means your information is transferred outside your country.
How long we keep it
Cards are kept until you remove yours or the event organiser removes it. Organiser account information is kept while the account is active.
Your choices and rights
- Remove your card: use “Remove my card” on the event page in the browser you made it in, or email the organiser at the address shown on their event page.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information, object to its use, or complain to your data protection authority.
- You must be at least 16 to make a card.
